Cindy
Cindy passed by today
as gently as the breeze
that when spring begins
comes whisperin
sweet nothings to the trees.
Cindy came by
like nature's sigh at winter's end,
moving me,
a solitary tree,
rockin in the wind.
In love we were reelin
to the rhythm of each other
she was gently healin
my lonely soul.
Me and that girl
makin warm against the cold.
Cindy was mine
just for a while, just in a way.
The little ring
on her left hand finger
leading her astray.
In love we were reelin
to the rhythm of each other
she was gently healin
my lonely soul.
Me and that girl
makin warm against the cold.
Cindy passed by today
like a sigh at winter's end,
moving me,
a solitary tree,
rockin in the wind.
